Well what could you possibly want to know about the man behind the curtain? Well I'll start from the beginning..
When I was a fertalized egg... Hah, just kidding. I've always been into electronics and radio which eventually led into my fascination with computers and networking. I got my first ham radio license (novice calss) when I was 12 and got my presently held (technician class) license when I was 13. (When I was 14, I started working professionally at a computer repair shop. I'm so not one of those bookworm types, I learned all I know by hands on experience tinkering and starting things on fire.
I can thank a few specific people for what I know, Larry Haller of The Computer Doctors, William Wood (KE9XQ) of the Riverland Amateur Radio Club, and some weird creepy paranoid (probably psycho killer) Dave from the Riverland Amateur Radio Club. Without those people, I wouldn't be where I am today.
For the past several years, I've been living in Madison, WI. At first it was rather difficult to be in a new place all alone, but I managed. In Febuary 2006, I attempted to shoot myself on the Monona Terrace. That did several things for me, both good and bad. Obviously I didn't go through with it and it left me with misdomeanor convictions, but on the plus side, it shocked me back into reality and I grew up considerably. This led to my termination from TDS Telecom (they found out I was arrested and canned me).
Since then, I have been trying to find my niche in the workforce. I haven't had the money to go to college, bills wait for no one. I would love to go to college at some point, maybe for networking or even law enforcement. Working with ham radio and Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES) has me liking the public service deal in helping make things safe. But that aside, I'm trying to put my communications and computer street smarts to work, but its difficult with a record such as mine. People see that instead of my cry for help or who I really am.
Whether I have a good job or a job at all, I'm loving life. I have a beautiful fiance and a cute baby girl and a step daughter. Photos can be found in my gallery.
